Overview
The Audi A4 B7 is a luxury compact executive car produced from 2004 to 2008 by Audi AG, based on the Volkswagen Group B platform. It succeeded the B6 generation and was built in Ingolstadt, Germany. The B7 underwent significant facelifts compared to its predecessor, featuring revised steering settings, suspension geometry, new engine ranges, navigation systems, and chassis electronics. Available as a sedan and station wagon (Avant), it also included a convertible variant until 2009 when the Audi A5 was spun off for these body styles.

The B7 generation introduced Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) technology on petrol engines, enhancing power output while maintaining compatibility with direct injection systems. It featured advanced Bosch ESP 8.0 Electronic Stability Programme and a new dashboard design inspired by the C6 Audi A6. The engine lineup was expanded to include more powerful diesel options such as the 3.0 V6 TDI.
