Audi A8 wheel fitment — D2
Overview
The Audi A8 D2 is the first generation of Audi's full-size luxury sedan, manufactured from June 1994 to August 2002. It was developed on the Volkswagen Group D2 platform and introduced as a competitor to Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series. The car featured an innovative aluminum chassis known as the Audi Space Frame (ASF), which made it significantly lighter than its steel-bodied predecessors. Available in both short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB) versions, the A8 D2 was offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines, including V6, V8, and W12 configurations. The S8 high-performance variant debuted in 1996, featuring an uprated 4.2-litre V8 engine and permanent all-wheel drive.
