Overview

The Audi Q2 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV developed by Audi AG on the Volkswagen Group MQB A1 platform. It was first unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and manufactured from 2016 to April 2026 in Ingolstadt, Germany; Foshan, China (as Q2L); and Relizane, Algeria. The Q2 features a front-wheel or all-wheel drive layout with petrol and diesel engines, complemented by an electric variant called the Q2L e-tron introduced in November 2019 for the Chinese market.

History & notable variants

The Audi Q2 was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and went on sale in Europe from November 2016. It is manufactured in Ingolstadt, Germany; Foshan, China (as Q2L); and Relizane, Algeria. The Q2L e-tron, an all-electric version, was launched in China in November 2019 with a range of 265 km on one charge and a top speed of 150 km/h. In February 2022, Volkswagen AG confirmed that the Audi Q2 would not see a second generation due to poor sales and plans for larger premium crossovers.
