Overview
The Audi RS 4 B7 is a high-performance variant of the Audi A4, produced by Audi Sport GmbH for AUDI AG from 2006 to 2008. It sits above the S4 as the fastest and most sports-focused car based on the Volkswagen Group's B7 platform. Unlike previous generations which were exclusively offered in Avant (station wagon) form, the B7 RS 4 was initially available as a four-door sedan with an Avant variant following shortly after. A Cabriolet version was also introduced later. The B7 RS 4 features significant styling and performance enhancements over its predecessor, including wider wheel arches for improved aerodynamics and handling.

History & notable variants
The second generation Audi RS 4 quattro (Typ 8E) was unveiled in February 2005 at Audi's 'quattro Night' celebration. It became available to European customers mid-2006 and arrived in North America in June of the same year, with sales continuing until 2008. Approximately 10,000 units were produced globally, with around 2,000 sold in the United States.
