Audi S6 C7 Facelift — Wheel Fitment & Specs
Overview
The Audi S6 C4 generation (Typ 4A) was a high-performance variant of the Audi A6, produced from 1994 to 1997. It featured a turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine and an optional V8 engine, both paired with quattro all-wheel drive. The car underwent minor styling changes compared to its predecessor, the S4 (C4), including flared wheel arches and unique badging. Available in saloon/sedan and Avant (estate/wagon) body styles, it was assembled at Audi's Neckarsulm plant in Germany.

Aftermarket wheel sizes — read per position:
| Position | Width | Offset |
|---|---|---|
| Front | 8J–9.5J | ET28–ET51 |
As a rule, each extra 1J of width wants roughly +8–10 ET to keep the wheel tucked. The exact offset and any spacer are confirmed by the fit-check.

Trim levels
History & notable variants
The C4 generation of the Audi S6 marked its debut as a high-performance variant of the A6 series. It was introduced shortly after the A6 designation replaced the 100 nameplate and served as the most powerful trim level for markets where the RS6 wasn't available. The S6 Plus, a limited-production model developed by quattro GmbH, offered enhanced performance with a more powerful V8 engine.
Reliability & owner notes
- Pros: High-performance inline five-cylinder and V8 engine options; Quattro all-wheel drive system
- Cons: Limited production run for the S6 Plus variant
