Overview

The Audi S6 is a high-performance variant of the Audi A6 executive car produced by German automaker Audi since 1994, replacing the 'Audi 100' nameplate. The first generation (C4/Typ 4A) was introduced in late 1994 and available as both saloon/sedan and Avant (estate/wagon). It features a turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine or an optional V8, with Audi's trademark quattro four-wheel drive system. The C5 generation followed from 1999 to 2003 on the Volkswagen Group C5 platform, offering improved powertrain technology and performance enhancements over its predecessor. The C6 generation was introduced in 2006 and featured a powerful V10 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
