Overview
The Audi S8 is a full-size luxury car produced by German automaker Audi AG, manufactured by Audi Sport GmbH at the Neckarsulm plant as part of Audi's high-performance S model range. It is the high-performance version of the Audi A8 and comes standard with quattro all-wheel drive. The first three generations were offered only in a short-wheelbase variant, while the fourth generation introduced both short and long-wheelbase options.

The D2 generation was produced from 1996 to 2003, powered by a 4.2L V8 engine with significant power upgrades over its production years. The D3 generation followed from 2006 to 2010 and featured a modified Lamborghini V10 engine for increased fuel efficiency. The D4 generation (2012-2018) saw mid-facelifts, including the introduction of the S8 Plus variant in 2016 with enhanced performance capabilities. The D5 generation began production in 2019 and introduced a mild hybrid system.
