BMW 3 Series wheel fitment — VI LCI F30/F31/F34
Overview
The sixth generation BMW 3 Series, also known as the F30 series (sedan), F31 (Touring), and F34 (Gran Turismo), was produced from October 2011 to October 2018. This generation marked a significant shift with turbocharged engines exclusively and electric power steering replacing hydraulic systems. The sedan, Touring wagon, and Gran Turismo models were manufactured in various BMW plants globally, including Germany, South Africa, China, India, Brazil, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Egypt.
History & notable variants
The F30 generation was unveiled on October 14, 2011. Notable changes included the introduction of a three-cylinder engine in 2015 and a plug-in hybrid variant in 2016. The M3 (F80) model debuted in 2014 with a twin-turbocharged straight-six engine. Production ended in October 2019, succeeded by the G20 generation.
BMW 3 Series wheel fitment
Everything below is what the fit-check uses for BMW 3 Series wheel fitment: the factory bolt spec first, then the width and offset window that clears the arches and the brakes on the BMW 3 Series VI LCI (F30/F31/F34).
| Bolt pattern (PCD) | 5x120 |
| Centre bore | 72.6 mm |
| Bolt / thread | M14 x 1.25 (bolts) |
| Wheel-bolt torque | 140 Nm |
| Seat type | tapered |
| Factory setup | staggered |
| TPMS | direct |
| Run-flat | Yes |
Aftermarket wheel sizes — read per position:
| Position | Width | Offset |
|---|---|---|
| Front | 6.5J–8.5J | ET24–ET45 |
| Rear (staggered) | 8J–10J | ET33–ET50 |
Width and offset move together: roughly 8 to 10 ET more for every extra 1J keeps the wheel inside the arch. Final offset and any spacer come from the fit-check.
