History & notable variants

The LCI (facelift) for this generation introduced minor changes to enhance aesthetics and performance but did not significantly alter its core features or introduce new special/performance variants beyond the existing M4. The F32/F33/F36 received positive reception, with What Car? naming the 420i M Sport as 'Coupé of the Year' in January 2021.
