Overview
The BMW E34 is the third generation of the BMW 5 Series produced from November 1987 to June 1996. Initially launched as a saloon in January 1988, it later included a station wagon variant starting September 1992. The E34 was built at Dingolfing and Rosslyn plants for Germany and South Africa respectively, with some models assembled in Thailand. This generation marked the introduction of all-wheel drive (525iX) and V8 engines to the series, alongside advanced features like stability control and adjustable damping systems.
