BMW M3 F80 — Wheel Fitment & Specs

TL;DR — The BMW M3 F80 (2014–2018) uses a 5x120 bolt pattern, 72.6 mm centre bore, M14 x 1.25 bolts torqued to ~140 Nm. It accepts ~8.5J–9.5J wheels at ET15–ET30 front; staggered setups run 9.5J–10.5J rear (ET23–ET40).

Overview

The BMW M3 F80 represents the seventh generation of high-performance variants of the BMW 3 Series. Produced from 2014 to 2018, it was manufactured by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH, at the Dingolfing plant in Germany. This model marked a significant shift with its all-wheel-drive setup introduced for the first time since the E36 generation (1992–1999). The F80 M3 continued to compete against high-performance sports sedans and coupes but saw a rebranding of its coupé and convertible variants as part of the BMW 4 Series range, making them the M4. Notably, this generation also introduced an estate (Touring) variant for the first time in 2020.

History & notable variants

The F80 M3 was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013 and entered production shortly after. It featured a significant departure from previous generations with its all-wheel-drive system, which was initially exclusive to coupé models but later extended to saloons as well. The car underwent a minor facelift (LCI) in 2018, introducing cosmetic changes and performance enhancements. Notable special/performance variants included the Competition Package, which boosted power output and improved handling characteristics.
