Overview
The BMW M8 (F91/F92/F93) is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, it was initially produced as a two-door convertible and coupe. A four-door sedan variant, known as 'Gran Coupe', joined the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is built on the BMW CLAR platform with adaptive dampers and an all-wheel-drive system that can decouple its front axle for rear-wheel drive performance. It features a powerful twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with other high-performance BMW models.

Development of the M8 began in 2017, following the introduction of the M8 GTE racecar at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which sparked speculation about its production equivalent.
