History & notable variants

Unveiled on June 19, 2024, the G45 X3 was launched in late 2024 for the 2025 model year. Notable features include a larger kidney grille with optional Iconic Glow contour lighting and adaptive LED headlights. The interior introduces BMW's Curved Display and recycled polyester options. South Africa is the sole producer of plug-in hybrid models, while China received an LWB variant (G48) exclusive to its market.
