Overview
The BMW X5 II (E70) is the second generation of the mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW from July 2006 to June 2013, replacing the E53 model. It was manufactured at BMW's plants in Greer, South Carolina and Toluca, Mexico. The E70 features a longer wheelbase (2933 mm) compared to its predecessor, offering more interior space and improved ride quality with double wishbone suspension at the front. The E70 underwent a Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) update in 2010, introducing revised styling and new engine options with turbocharging and direct injection. The X5 M high-performance variant was introduced for the 2010 model year, marking BMW's first xDrive all-wheel-drive vehicle from M GmbH.
