Overview
The G05 BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by German automaker BMW. It is the fourth and current generation of the BMW X5, launched in August 2018 as the successor to the F15 X5. Sales began in November 2018. The vehicle uses BMW's Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform and features a five-link rear suspension with options for four-wheel steering or adjustable air suspension. Compared to its predecessor, it is longer, wider, and slightly shorter. It offers both petrol and diesel engines alongside plug-in hybrid variants and an iX5 hydrogen fuel cell model.

History & notable variants
Development of the G05 X5 was announced in June 2018. The vehicle underwent a facelift for the 2024 model year, introducing revised front grille and bumper designs, new headlights and taillights, and enhanced driving assistance features like Highway Assistant. Performance variants such as the X5 M (F95) were introduced in October 2019.
