The Ford Galaxy is a seven-seater car produced by Ford of Europe from June 1995 to April 2023. History & notable variants

The first generation (V191) was designed as a joint venture product between Ford and Volkswagen Group. Produced at AutoEuropa in Portugal, it used predominantly VW mechanicals but had a mix of both Ford and VW components inside. The MkI Galaxy received a facelift in 2000 with new exterior styling including New Edge design elements and an updated dashboard. In the UK, despite being rated as the least satisfying car by Top Gear in 1999, it was also the best-selling MPV that year.
