Ford Mondeo wheel fitment — IV
Overview
The fourth-generation Ford Mondeo, introduced in January 2012, was marketed as the Fusion in North America. It was designed to consolidate Ford's mid-size car offerings globally and used a global platform shared with its American counterpart. The design took cues from both previous generations of the Mondeo and the American Fusion. This generation did not include five- or six-cylinder engines but featured a complete range of EcoBoost engines upon launch. Production ended in March 2022 as consumer interest shifted towards crossovers and SUVs.
History & notable variants
The fourth-generation Mondeo was presented at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, marking its global debut. It was not marketed in North America or Europe after this generation but continued to be sold in China and Middle East markets under different names (Fusion and Taurus respectively). Notable for its EcoBoost engine lineup and Kinetic Design theme introduced mid-cycle in 2010.
Ford Mondeo wheel fitment
Everything below is what the fit-check uses for Ford Mondeo wheel fitment: the factory bolt spec first, then the width and offset window that clears the arches and the brakes on the Ford Mondeo (IV).
| Bolt pattern (PCD) | 5x108 |
| Centre bore | 63.4 mm |
| Bolt / thread | M12x1.5 (nuts) |
| Wheel-bolt torque | 130 Nm |
| Seat type | tapered |
| Factory setup | staggered |
| TPMS | direct |
Aftermarket wheel sizes — read per position:
| Position | Width | Offset |
|---|---|---|
| Front | 6.5J–7.5J | ET35–ET55 |
| Rear (staggered) | 8.5J–9J | ET36–ET55 |
As a rule, each extra 1J of width wants roughly +8 to 10 ET to keep the wheel tucked. The exact offset and any spacer are confirmed by the fit-check.
UK popularity & demand
