Overview

The Ford Tourneo Connect is a compact leisure activity vehicle (LAV) manufactured by Ford of Europe since 2002. It was introduced in October 2002, replacing the Escort van and Fiesta Courier vans with a dedicated commercial vehicle platform. The model line is offered in two wheelbases: short-wheelbase (SWB) and long-wheelbase (LWB), with the latter featuring a raised roof. In North America, it was imported as a passenger van to circumvent import tariffs on light trucks from 2010 onwards. It won 'North American Truck of the Year' in 2010.

History & notable variants

The first generation saw updates in 2006 and 2009 with design changes including a new front grille, deeper bumper, and dashboard featuring switchgear from the Ford Focus. In North America, it was introduced at the Chicago Auto Show in 2008 and won 'North American Truck of the Year' for 2010.

Go wider and the offset has to rise with it, about 8 to 10 ET per extra 1J, or the wheel pokes past the arch. The fit-check settles the exact offset and any spacer.
