Overview
The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is a subcompact executive car manufactured and marketed by Mercedes-Benz since 2005. The first generation (W245) was introduced in Europe, Australia, and other parts of the world in early 2005, and in Canada in late 2005. It uses front-wheel drive with sandwich floor construction and parabolic rear suspension, maximizing interior volume via its height. History & notable variants
The first-generation B-Class was introduced at the Paris Motor Show as a concept car named Vision B Compact Sports Tourer in 2004. It underwent several updates including a facelift in 2011, adding features like start-stop technology and BlueEFFICIENCY options. In 2011, Mercedes-Benz completed a world tour with its hydrogen-powered F-Cell vehicle based on the B-Class.
