Overview

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 generation was launched in 2014 as a compact executive car, replacing the previous W204 model. It featured an advanced lightweight construction using aluminum and high-strength steel to reduce weight by approximately 100 kg compared to its predecessor. The W205 chassis supported four body styles: sedan (W205), station wagon (S205), coupe (C205), and cabriolet (A205). Production commenced in February 2014 at the Bremen plant, with additional manufacturing sites in South Africa, Brazil, and the United States. Sales began in Europe in March 2014 and North America in September of the same year.
