The Mercedes-Benz Citan Tourer / Eqt MFK is part of the second generation (W420) introduced in 2021, based on the third-generation Renault Kangoo. In March 2024, the Citan van received a Platinum rating from Euro NCAP due to its advanced active safety systems. The electric variants eCitan and EQT were announced in October 2021 alongside the regular model, with availability starting mid-2022 for the eCitan and December 2022 for the EQT.
