Overview

The Mercedes-Benz Citan Tourer / T-Class is the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz Citan series, introduced in 2021. It is based on the third-generation Renault Kangoo and uses the CMF-CD platform. The vehicle comes as a panel van and leisure activity vehicle (Tourer), replacing the previous Citan Traveliner model. Assembled by Renault subsidiary MCA in Maubeuge, France, it targets both passenger car and light commercial vehicle markets.

History & notable variants

The second generation of the Mercedes-Benz Citan was launched in August 2021 as a panel van and Tourer variant. In April 2022, the T-Class MPV version was released with seats for five people, while a long-wheelbase seven-seater model is planned. The vehicle received a Platinum rating from Euro NCAP in March 2024 due to its advanced safety features.
