Overview
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (C197 / R197) is a front mid-engine, 2-seater sports car developed by the Mercedes-AMG division of German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz. It was introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and went on sale in Europe in mid-2010 with production ending in 2014. The SLS AMG is a spiritual successor to the iconic 300SL Gullwing, featuring gull-wing doors and advanced engineering from Mercedes-AMG. It was assembled largely by hand at Sindelfingen, Germany, using an aluminum body shell produced by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.

As a rule, each extra 1J of width wants roughly +8–10 ET to keep the wheel tucked. The exact offset and any spacer are confirmed by the fit-check.
The SLS AMG was designed to be a modern revival of the 300SL Gullwing with gull-wing doors and advanced technology. It succeeded the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren as the flagship sports car for AMG. The SLS AMG won several design awards including the red dot 'best of the best' award in 2010. An electric version, the SLS AMG Electric Drive, was introduced at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and production ended with the introduction of the GT Final Edition.
