Overview

The Mercedes-Benz GLE is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced since 2015, following the M-Class naming scheme which ended in 2015. It was introduced at the New York Auto Show as a facelifted version of the third-generation model (W166). The GLE is built on a unibody platform and shares components with other Mercedes-Benz models like the GLS, positioning it between these larger and smaller SUVs in terms of size. Production moved to Vance, Alabama, USA, aligning its manufacturing strategy with the E-Class.
