Overview

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly known as the M-Class (ML nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by Mercedes-Benz since 1997. The third generation of this model, designated with the V167 code, was introduced in 2015 and marked a significant shift from its predecessor, the W166 M-Class. This new iteration features an updated design language and advanced technology, aligning it more closely with Mercedes-Benz's sedan lineup, particularly the E-Class. Production moved to Vance, Alabama, USA, in 2015 as part of efforts to harmonize SUV naming conventions within the brand.
