Overview

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly known as the M-Class (designated with 'ML' nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by Mercedes-Benz since 1997. The W166 generation of the ML-Class was built in Stuttgart for the European and Australian markets from 2011 to 2015, before production moved entirely to Vance, Alabama with the release of the facelifted model in 2015. This generation transitioned to a unibody platform, sharing components with the GL-Class, which offers third-row seating.
