Overview
The Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class (R172) is a compact executive roadster, manufactured by Mercedes-Benz from 2011 to 2020 at the company's plant in Bremen, Germany. It succeeded the R171 generation and was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. The third-generation SLK-Class offered a range of inline-four, V6, and V8 engines with both diesel and petrol options. Notable features include an electronically operated window tint shade for the sunroof called Magic Sky Control and improved aerodynamic efficiency.

As a rule, each extra 1J of width wants roughly +8–10 ET to keep the wheel tucked. The exact offset and any spacer are confirmed by the fit-check.

History & notable variants
In March 2016, the R172 generation received a facelift to celebrate the SLK-Class's 20th anniversary, introducing new engines and minor exterior design changes. The model was renamed SLC-Class as part of Mercedes-Benz’s revised nomenclature scheme for roadsters. In 2020, a Final Edition was released to commemorate the end of production.
