Toyota MR2 wheel fitment — MKII
Overview
The Toyota MR2 is a two-seater sports car manufactured by Toyota from 1984 until 2007 over three generations. It was the first Japanese rear-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive production car and was sold around the world. The first generation (W10) was produced from 1984 to 1989, featuring a straight-four engine transversely mounted in front of the rear axle, four-wheel disc brakes, and fully independent coilover suspension with MacPherson struts on each wheel.
History & notable variants
The MR2 derived from a design project initiated by Toyota in 1976 aiming to create an enjoyable yet fuel-efficient car. The first generation was introduced in 1984 under the model code W10, and it won Car of the Year Japan at its introduction. Significant testing was performed on race circuits including Willow Springs with former Formula One driver Dan Gurney involved.
Toyota MR2 wheel fitment
Everything below is what the fit-check uses for Toyota MR2 wheel fitment: the factory bolt spec first, then the width and offset window that clears the arches and the brakes on the Toyota MKII.
| Bolt pattern (PCD) | 5x114.3 |
| Centre bore | 60.1 mm |
| Bolt / thread | M12x1.5 (nuts) |
| Wheel-bolt torque | 120 Nm |
| Seat type | flat |
| Factory setup | staggered |
| TPMS | direct |
Aftermarket wheel sizes — read per position:
| Position | Width | Offset |
|---|---|---|
| Front | 5.5J–8J | ET20–ET45 |
| Rear (staggered) | 6J–8.5J | ET15–ET45 |
Width and offset move together: roughly 8 to 10 ET more for every extra 1J keeps the wheel inside the arch. Final offset and any spacer come from the fit-check.
