Overview
The Vauxhall Mokka-X (A) J-A is a subcompact crossover SUV produced by Vauxhall Motors in the United Kingdom from 2016 to 2019. It represents an updated version of the first generation Opel Mokka, featuring cosmetic and interior changes introduced as part of its mid-cycle refresh. The model was based on GM's Gamma II platform and offered both front-wheel drive and intelligent all-wheel-drive options. Positioned below the larger Antara SUV in Vauxhall’s lineup, it aimed to cater to customers seeking a compact yet capable crossover.
History & notable variants
In April 2016, Opel and Vauxhall unveiled an updated version of the Mokka for the model year of 2017, designated as the Mokka X. This facelift included new headlights, restyled bumpers, LED tail lights, and a revised interior with a completely redesigned dashboard, instrument cluster, and center stack. The Vauxhall Mokka-X was introduced in late 2016 and remained in production until 2019 when it was succeeded by the second generation model based on PSA's CMP platform.
