The second generation of the Volkswagen Crafter was unveiled as a complete redesign by Volkswagen after their collaboration with Mercedes-Benz ended. This new model introduced several improvements over its predecessor, such as enhanced safety features, updated engines meeting Euro 6 emission standards, and an all-electric variant called e-Crafter launched in 2017.
