Overview

The Volkswagen Crafter (II) is the second generation of this large commercial vehicle, introduced for the 2017 model year. Unlike its predecessor which was a rebadged Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the new Crafter is designed and built entirely by Volkswagen on their Modular Light Commercial Vehicle platform (MNB). It offers various body styles including panel vans, minibuses, chassis cabs, and crew cabs. The vehicle is produced in Września, Poland, with production starting from 2016. This generation marks a significant shift towards Volkswagen's own design language and manufacturing capabilities.
