Overview
The Volkswagen Fox is a subcompact car produced and designed by Volkswagen of Brazil, sold in Europe from 2005 until 2011 as the city car offering. It was positioned between Volkswagen's supermini models, the low-cost Gol and Polo. The Fox was produced on the Volkswagen Group PQ24 platform and offered as a 3-door and 5-door hatchback. In Europe, it replaced the Lupo city car as the entry-level model in the lineup.

The Fox was introduced to Europe at the AMI Leipzig Motor Show in April 2005 with three engine options: 1.2L I3, 1.4L I4 petrol engines and a 1.4L TDI diesel. It scored four stars in EuroNCAP's crash rating system upon its debut. The Fox was discontinued in Europe in 2011 and replaced by the Volkswagen Up!.
